Welcome to My Fundraising Page!
Hi there! My name is Rachel Gehue. On Sunday, June 4th, 2017, I will once again be participating in the Walk and Run for Arthritis. As one of the 4.6 million Canadians who live with arthritis, this event is very important to me.
I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 14. In these last 7 years, I have gone from a young, healthy and extremely active girl who loved hockey, soccer, tennis, volleyball, skiing, and running, to a young woman who no longer can do any of those things, as well as many others. Arthritis is an extremely debilitating and life changing disease. It can effect anyone at anytime, regardless of your age.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated. It goes towards developing new ways to enhance the quality of life of people struggling with this disease, educational and informative events, programs and services that help people with arthritis overcome challenges and live the best life possible, and also towards groundbreaking research for treatments and a potential cure.
With your help, we can move closer to a day where arthritic pain will no longer cause people to struggle to keep doing the activities they love, struggle to get to sleep or get out of bed, struggle to go hang out with their friends, struggle to stay in school or keep their job, or struggle to do those little things we all take for granted like brushing our teeth or opening a door or preparing a meal.
Please join the movement and make a donation to support this important cause.
Thank you so much!
