Welcome to Yoanne Rautert's Team Still's Page!
Hello and welcome to my personal Team Still's page!
Thank you for your interest in helping us fight to end arthritis!
My name is Yoanne Rautert. I am honoured to be the captain of Team Still's. I am a wife, a mother of a spunky toddler, and a Grade 1 teacher!
After months of struggle, I was diagnosed with a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis called Adult On-set Still's Disease (AOSD) in February 2015.
My story began in December 2014, when my body erupted with a sea of burning red rashes. We, AOSD fighters call this "The Dragon". Within a couple of weeks, my illness progressed into high-spiking fevers and severe joint pain. By January 2016, I had lost all mobility and hope that there will be a diagnosis, let alone -a cure. I was only 33 years old.
After many visits to the hospital, I was finally diagnosed by a wonderful group of rheumatologist at HSC. I began treatment and was able to move again within the first 24 hours of treatment. My prayers were and answered and I began my recovery. Now, I can live life again.
I am here today because of the love and undying support of my family, my friends and the Rheumatology team at HSC.
Team Still's was developed to help bring awareness to a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis called Adult-Onset Still's Disease (AOSD). It is also categorized as a systematic-inflammatory disease.
It is estimated that this disease affects 1 in every 500,000 around the world. With peak age ranging between 20s-40 yrs old.
AOSD is characterized by the following symptoms: high spiking fevers, joint paint, elevated ferritin levels and salmon-coloured bumpy rashes.
I invite you to come join our team for the walk on June 4th and/or donate to a great cause!

On Sunday, June 4, 2017, our team is participating in the Walk to Fight Arthritis. We're walking and raising funds to help find a cure and support the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with the pain of arthritis.
You can make a difference in their lives, and help researchers search for improved treatments by making a donation to any of our team members. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal for this very important cause.
Please join the movement and make a donation to support this important cause. Thank you so much!I am joining Canadians coast-to-coast in the Walk to Fight Arthritis. I am walking and raising funds to help find a cure and support the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with arthritis.
By helping raise funds you are supporting the next advancement in research, the next great treatments and the Society’s suite of pain management programs. The Society has been the largest non-government funder of arthritis research in Canada, investing over $195 million in projects that have led to breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with arthritis.
There is no cure for arthritis; we need to work together to create an arthritis free future.
