Welcome to My Fundraising Page!
I am joining Canadians coast-to-coast in the Walk to Fight Arthritis. I am walking and raising funds to help find a cure and support the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with arthritis.
By helping raise funds you are supporting the next advancement in research, the next great treatments and the Society’s suite of pain management programs. The Society has been the largest non-government funder of arthritis research in Canada, investing over $195 million in projects that have led to breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with arthritis.
There is no cure for arthritis; we need to work together to create an arthritis free future.
Please join the movement and make a donation to support this important cause.
Thank you so much!
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis when I was very young, one doctor even said that I was probably born with it. I struggled quite a bit when I was younger, but luckily I didn't know any different, meaning that I had no idea what it was like to live with daily stiffness or body aches. All my joints were affected, I don't think there was any that wasn't affected or damaged one way or another. I had several complications with meds, where I lost my hair, had a severe Anaphylaxis allergic reaction and had code blue called, had MS Like Symptoms, and where some meds just wouldn't work at all. I was always trying out the "New Drugs" that just came out, because my body was so sensitive to them. I even had one doctor wish me the best, as there was no more drugs at that time for me to try. But luckily, people fundraise for this horrible disease and they're always coming out with new meds, I definitely am Thankful for all this.
