Walk to Fight Arthritis - Red Deer

Moving for Maddie

Please support The Arthritis Society and our team!

Maddie was only 2 when she was diagnosed with Juvenille Idiopathic Arthritis. The last 12 years have brought ups & downs with the disease but Maddie hasn't let that hold her back. Even when she needed a wheelchair to be able to leave the house in 2014 because it hurt her too much to walk, she kept smiling & stayed positive. Maddie is just one of approx 24,000 Canadian kids with JIA and Arthritis affects too many adults as well.

We are so fortunate to have our amazing Canadian health care system & the extraordinary rheumatology deptartment at Alberta Children's Hospitl just 1 hour from home.  Not everyone is so fortunate but we all have the hope of a cure and your donations are very much appreciated.

On Sunday, June 4, 2017, our team is participating in the Walk to Fight Arthritis. We're walking and raising funds to help find a cure and support the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with the pain of arthritis.

You can make a difference in their lives, and help researchers search for improved treatments by making a donation to any of our team members. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal for this very important cause.

Please join the movement and make a donation to support this important cause. Thank you so much!
