On June 3 I will once again walk to raise funds and create awareness about a serious, life altering disease. Each day, like so many others, I face the physical and emotional demands of Rheumatoid Arthritis. There are days that are better then others but there is always pain, fatigue, emotional ups and downs and countless other issues when living with an Invisible disease like RA.
What helps me a lot is the incredible support I receive from my family, my friends and my colleagues. I also live with a great deal of gratitude for everyone and everything in my life. I feel thankful each morning I can get up and start a new day. Walking each year with the Arthritis Society is very special and symbolic for me, my family and friends and your donations and support mean so much
Today, more than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis.
As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.
